- The 8985 SHDSL module brings the G.shdsl standard to the BLC family for mass symmetric DSL services deployment. From a single module, multi-services (ATM, IP, frame relay, and leased line) can be provisioned. The 8985 SHDSL moduleis a high-density 24 port module utilizing standard G.shdsl (ITU G.991.2) technology, with support for a wide variety of Paradyne and industry-leading, third-party endpoints. Advanced applications like circuit emulation services (CES) for T1/E1 replacement, voice over IP (VoIP), and service level managed Frame Relay over DSL (FRoDSL) can now be economically deployed with extraordinary levels of reliability to support the most demanding service performance guarantees.The 8985 SHDSL module is supported in both 8820 and 8620 Broadband Loop Carriers and is interoperable with a wide range of endpoints that support the G.shdsl standard.
